Venue Terms
The terms on which a venue claims and runs its page on Louder.
These terms are between LOUDERADIO PTY LTD (ACN 701 085 967, ABN 82 701 085 967), of Melbourne, Australia ("Louder", "we", "us"), and the venue whose page you are claiming, through you as the person claiming it ("you", "the Venue").
The short version. Your gigs are already on the map whether you talk to us or not, because we read what you publish. Claiming the page lets you correct us and adds detail. What you write always beats what we found. It is free, there is no commission, and you can tell us to remove the page entirely.
1. Your listing exists already
Louder builds venue pages from information venues publish themselves: your own website, your public event listings, and public gig guides. We do this whether or not you have any relationship with us, in the same way a listings magazine or a search engine does.
We are not asking you to post anything, keep a second calendar, or send us anything.
2. What claiming gives you
Once you have claimed your venue page, you can:
- correct your name, address, description, rooms, capacity, accessibility details, contact details and links;
- add, edit and remove the gigs listed at your venue, including line-ups and set times;
- name an act that has no page yet, which creates an unclaimed page for them that they can later claim themselves;
- ask us to remove your venue from Louder entirely.
What you enter is treated as correct and our automated reading will not overwrite it. That is the point of claiming.
3. How we check a claim
A venue page is your room's name in public, so we verify before handing it over.
- If you claim from an email address on the venue's own internet domain, we accept it straight away.
- Otherwise we hold the claim and contact the venue directly to confirm you are authorised. This usually takes a day or two.
You confirm that you are authorised by the Venue to accept these terms and to manage its listing. If that stops being true, tell us.
We may reverse a claim if we later find it was not authorised, and we may decline a claim we cannot verify.
4. What you are responsible for
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, including gig details, ages, ticketing and accessibility information. Louder shows it to the public as yours.
You agree not to enter:
- gigs that are not happening at your venue;
- an act's name where they have not agreed to appear, unless they are genuinely booked;
- anything unlawful, misleading, or infringing someone else's rights.
You grant us permission to display what you enter, along with your venue's name, logo where you supply one, and photographs you upload, on Louder and in our own promotion of what is on this week. You keep ownership of all of it.
5. Cost
Free. There is no listing fee, no subscription and no commission on your door, your ticketing, or your bar. If we ever introduce a paid service for venues, it will be optional and we will tell you before it starts.
Louder carries advertising, and may play music by acts booked at venues near the listener. Nothing about that requires anything of you or takes anything from you.
6. Opting out
You may ask us to remove your venue from Louder at any time, whether or not you have claimed it, by emailing louderhq@loudermap.online. We will remove it and stop listing your gigs.
7. Ending these terms
You may unclaim your venue or close your account at any time. We may end your access if these terms are seriously breached, or if we find the claim was not authorised. Removing your claim does not by itself remove the venue page, since the underlying listing exists independently of the claim. If you want the page gone as well, see clause 6.
8. Liability
Louder is provided as it is. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost trade arising from an error or omission in a listing.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes, law, and getting hold of us
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
